Features and benefits

  • Smooth inner and outer walls.
  • All polyethylene, with no steel.
  • PE80/PE100: flexible, corrosion-resistant and fatigue-resistant.
  • Low roughness and no scaling keep the flow capacity.

Jointing and installation

  • Socket joint with elastomeric seals

A spigot end with sealing rings is pushed home into the socket end.

  • Electrofusion band

A band with embedded heating wire is clamped over the joint and fused.

  • Extrusion welding

Used where approved for the diameter and duty.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Type A hollow-wall spiral-wound pipe?

It is a structured-wall HDPE pipe for gravity drainage and sewers, wound from a hollow polyethylene profile so that both the inner and outer surfaces are smooth. It contains no steel.

What diameters and ring stiffness classes are available?

Diameter and ring stiffness are confirmed per project; measured examples are shown on this page.

How does Type A differ from Type B?

Type A is all polyethylene with smooth inner and outer walls; Type B adds steel wire inside the ribs for larger diameters.

How are the pipes joined?

With a socket joint and elastomeric seals, an electrofusion band, or extrusion welding where approved.

What do you need for a quotation?

Diameter basis (DN/ID or DN/OD), ring stiffness or burial depth and traffic load, medium, line length and destination.
